Indian Wisdom

The Upanishads , The Bhagavad Gita and The Yoga Sutra form the backbone of Indian Wisdom texts.

Buddhism was also born in India and developed across Asia.

There are also Jain and Sikh traditions.

In modern times some pioneers of wisdom are Mahatma Gandhi , Ramana Maharshi and Sri Aurobindo .

Ramakrishna, Vivekananda, and Prabhavananda have also been great sources of Indian Wisdom and their works are carried on by the Vedanta Society .

Krishnamurti and Osho were fairly recent sources of Indian Wisdom.

Today, Dr. Deepak Chopra continues to bring Indian and Global Wisdom to the cutting edge of science, and human cultural development.
