Manly Palmer Hall - Founder of the Philosophical Research Society

Biography

Manly Palmer Hall (1901-1990) was born in Ontario, Canada. He was raised by his maternal grandmother who brought him to the United States when he was young. (source:PRS.org)

According to his biography on the Philosophical Research Society website, "He saw wisdom as the highest realm where philosophy, religion, and science come together without boundaries."

He founded the Philosophical Research Society in 1934, "devoted to the one basic purpose of advancing the brotherhood of all that lives, to meet all lovers of wisdom on a common ground." (PRS.org, 2011)
